Customer Impact:
Customers will experience a brief outage as their HA gateways fail over to the secondary router. On average there will be about 8 pings lost on failover. Once the module is replace and the physical connections are re established the HA gateways will fail back resulting in an 8 to 16 ping loss.

Reason for Maintenance:
Hardware replacement of the 48 port switch mod. The hardware that controls the ports 1-24 has intermittent issues with large packets (our systems is not affected by this issue). Cisco has not determined the exact cause or problem with the hardware. Since the issue is centralized to ports 1-24 they have issued an RMA for the module believing that the problem resides in the hardware.
