Citrix XenServer updating

December 16, 2009: Citrix has released the first update for XenServer 5.5. 3inetworks will apply this update for all its Citrix servers, after fully checking on testing server.

This update will require several reboots including servers and VMs reboots. The first reboot will be made after applying update on server. The second reboot will need to be done when updating Xen Tools for each VM. This also leads to a small downtime for all websites. This update contains some fixes for bugs in XenServer 5.5, and improves supporting for Windows 2008 VM and Nehalem CPU series.

We will update this again when all tasks are completed.

All Citrix servers have been updated. All VM also use new kernel and Xentools now.
